|
Welcome to IntegraNet, a virtual technical cooperation programme hosted in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. IntegraNet stands for Network for Integrating Economic, Social and Environmental Policies in an Interdependent World. IntegraNet is an initiative to assist countries in integrating economic, social and environmental policies in the pursuit of national goals for development, growth and equity in a world that is increasingly interdependent as a result of globalisation. The IntegraNet programme aims at building a network of policymakers, policy shapers and other stakeholders across the world who would actively share and exchange knowledge, experiences and proposals related to the goals of the programme. The programme is in the process of developing a conceptual framework and methodology with practical tools for reconciling and integrating policy goals and will build up the network of stakeholders, through advisory services to be provided to countries, through workshops and through on-line interaction through this website and e-forum, including via virtual conferences in real time. By its nature, the IntegraNet website and e-forum is accessible to a wide range of partners of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, including from the public sector, academia, civil society and the private sector. Please note that the opinions and views expressed by participants in the e-forum are those of the participants and are not necessarily those of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs or of the United Nations. In order to sign up for access to the website and e-forum, please e-mail your request, indicating your name, affiliation, involvement in the subject areas of IntegraNet, and your coordinates, including e-mail address, to the Moderator of the website and forum and Chief Technical Adviser of the IntegraNet programme, Nikhil Chandavarkar, at chandavarkar@un.org. You will then receive an e-mail welcome notice with your log-in name and provisional password. I invite you to make active use of the e-forum, which will prove of mutual benefit to all participants.
